Knee pain

Knee pain can be felt by people of all ages. In women, knee pain is common due to our increased pelvic/knee angle and because of hormones and connective tissue types. In men, patellar tendonitis is often experienced by those people with tighter quads and hamstrings. Patello femoral syndrome (PFS) is a commonly diagnosed knee condition which relates to abnormal tracking of the knee cap. Chiropractic is effective in addressing these problems as we will asses your hips, knees and ankles to ensure all joints are moving properly in the lower limb kinetic chain. Hip and pelvic joint dysfunction are common factors which contribute to the development of knee pain. Similarly, dysfunction in the ankles and feet can also be a factor in the development of knee pain.  If you are being bothered by knee pain, chiropractic care is a very effective form of treatment for various types of knee pain!
