Dr. Jessica completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Alberta and Grant MacEwan University receiving a Bachelor of Science with a major in Biological Sciences. The experience of being a patient followed by a staff member at the front desk of The Chiropractic Wellness Studio inspired her to pursue a career in chiropractic. Dr. Jessica then received her Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from The University of Western States in Portland, Oregon. As a recent graduate, she is keen to apply her current knowledge of various chiropractic techniques.
Through her additional studies and training, Dr. Jessica has developed an interest in working with pre-natal and pediatric patients. Dr. Jessica has obtained certifications in The Webster Technique and Functional Movement Technique Basic Rocktape. She has also attended seminars on McKenzie Method for disc related spinal pain, tongue-tie assessment and care, Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization, Activator Method, and Craniosacral Therapy for young patients.
Her time in Portland, Oregon allowed her to find a connection with a more holistic and natural lifestyle. While studying to become a Chiropractor she experienced a wide variety of outdoor, culinary and cultural experiences in Portland. Dr. Jessica discovered a new found interest in hiking with the many trails conveniently located in the nearby Columbia River Gorge. She is looking forward to continuing to pursue this hobby now that she has returned to Canada to practice. Dr. Jesssica is thrilled to be back in her hometown and to return to the studio which inspired her career choice. She looks forward to working with individuals and families as part of The Chiropractic Wellness Studio team.
